Chelsea look to be in great shape, having just won the Premier League this season. They have also shown their brilliant performance to reach the final of the FA Cup this term to book an encounter with arch-rivals Arsenal.
They are looking to extend their good run in the next season as well, and are looking to strengthen their side by bringing in a number of new players the next season. The Blues will have to face the best teams of Europe in the Champions League next season as well, and thus need to mend whatever fragility there is in their team during the summer transfer window.
Chelsea are eyeing to rope in a number of players who have been performing exceedingly well for their present clubs in leagues from all over Europe. Given are three of them, whose presence can be of great impact for Antonio Conte’s team next season-
Virgil Van Dijk-
Chelsea is looking to bring in the 25-year-old Dutch defender in order to get someone capable enough to replace their outgoing centre-back John Terry, who has already announced his departure from Stamford Bridge at the end of the current season. The Southampton player is currently under treatment for an injury that he picked up a few months ago. Van Dijk will certainly give them an added option and an elevation of quality in their preferred 3-man backline.
Romelu Lukaku-
The Everton striker has been in ominous form throughout the current season, scoring 24 goals to become the highest scorer so far. Lukaku has been trying his best in making the current season a good one for Everton but hasn’t been able to find ample support from his teammates so far this season. Reportedly, Antonio Conte, the present coach of Chelsea is on the trail of the Belgian marksman and wants to make him a part of his team for the forthcoming season. With doubts regarding Diego Costa, it looks like the deal might actually materialise in the next transfer window.
Saul Niguez-
The Spanish midfielder from Atletico Madrid has been one of the best young players playing in a central role for the last few seasons. His precision in passing the ball to his teammates along with the ability to chip in with crucial goals makes him a target for many big clubs along with Chelsea, who can pair him with N’Golo Kante in the centre of their midfield to give more stability to their side.
