Manager- Mauricio Pochettino
Although Arsene Wenger has won more trophies than the Argentine gaffer and is in the Premier league for a longer time, this season has been by far the worst for the 67-year-old. Pochettino, on the hand, is enjoying his best season in the league and although Spurs are yet to win a silverware, they have played some of the best football.
Goalkeeper- Hugo Lloris
After a sizzling first season at Arsenal, the former Czech international, Petr Cech, has seen a dip in their form conceding 33 goals in 29 appearances. We would go for Hugo Lloris in this position. The Frenchman has been absolutely phenomenal under the bar, letting in 20 goals in 29 outings and would be a big difference between the two teams.
Right Centre-back- Gabriel Paulista
The Brazilian has been under huge criticism throughout the season until recently. After starting shakily against Middlesbrough, Gabriel has been a rock at the back against Manchester City and Leicester City. While Tottenham will be a different level altogether, he has to be at his defensive best.
Centre-Back- Jan Vertonghen
With Laurent Koscielny out of the fixture, the Belgian will be the designated skipper for the combined team. Tottenham have been defensively way superior to their North-London rivals this season and one of the main reasons for that has been their skipper at the back.
Left Centre-Back- Toby Alderweireld
The perfect partner to Jan Vertonghen at the heart of Tottenham’s defence, his Belgian compatriot is easily the best centre-half in the league at the moment. His disciplined defending and vision makes him unshakeable at the back and will be a tough nut for Arsenal to crack.
Left Wing-Back- Kieran Gibbs
Although the England international is pretty new in the wing-back role for Arsenal, his defensive attributes and offensive nature make him a handy option to have in the team. He also possesses some really sublime finishing skills and Tottenham will have to be wary of that.
Right Wing-Back- Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
A difficult option to choose from between Kyle Walker and Chamberlain, but we would choose Chamberlain over him. The English winger has been more aggressive in his approach and his pace on the ball makes him very dangerous.
Right Central-Midfielder- Granit Xhaka
In the three-man defence, the player who has gained the most is the Swiss international. The midfielder has now found enough space to operate, which has made his distribution up front impeccable.
Left Central-Midfielder – Victor Wanyama
Perhaps the best partner to Xhaka in the midfield. Wanyama’s defensive work rate makes the other one in that position very comfortable.
Left Attacking-Midfielder -Alexis Sanchez
The Chilean is the easiest choice in this combined line-up. His work rate from the wide areas and phenomenal finishing make him the likeliest to score in this fixture.
Right Attacking- Christian Eriksen
He has been the best playmaker in the league this season and alongside Alexis Sanchez, he will become all the more efficient.
Striker – Harry Kane
Without a doubt, the English forward will lead the attack. He has been at his prolific best this season despite injuries disrupting his campaign repetitively.
