With rumours catching wind of the Manchester United stop-stopper David De Gea looking to leave the club, the Red Devils have already started their pursuit in order to get hold of a suitable replacement to stand under the crossbar for the next season. Reportedly, the Spanish goalkeeper is on his way back to his native country, where he will commit his allegiance to the 11 times European Champions Real Madrid.
There was an attempt last season made by the Galacticos also to bring in the Spanish goalkeeper to Santiago Bernabeu, but it got scrapped due to a last time technical glitch that halted the final paperwork. However, this time around, the Los Blancos are looking very much determined to secure the services of De Gea in goal, so much that they are ready to break the transfer fee record for a goalkeeper.
Three goalkeepers who are reportedly being scanned by the Premier League side in case the Spaniard leaves Old Trafford next season are as follows-
Joe Hart-
The English International is rumoured of being pursued by Jose Mourinho for quite some time as he might look to bring him in to stand under the crossbar after the departure of David De Gea. Joe Hart is surplus at United’s arch rivals Manchester City and is currently spending his loan spell at Italian Serie A club, Torino. There are also rumours that the player might be given the green signal to leave Manchester City, with Pep Guardiola willing to sell him for £25 million.
Samir Handanovic-
The 32-year-old goalkeeper currently playing for Internazionale in Italy is another potential target for Manchester United to replace David De Gea. The goalkeeper is considered to have a reliable pair of hands, which might give Manchester United some hope for the next season. The Slovenian has had a fairly good season with the former Serie A Champions in the goal. His main strengths are his reflexes which he uses to keep opponent strikers at bay.
Gianluigi Donnarumma-
With exceptional shot stopping abilities and reflexes, the 18-year-old youngster from Italy is one of the best talents in the world today. No surprise that the Red Devils are showing their interest in securing the services of the current AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma for the next season, in case David De Gea does not turn up anymore for practice at Carrington Road. It is being rumoured that the Italian prodigy might also be involved in a potential move to Manchester United’s arch rivals Manchester City and Chelsea.
