Burnley would like to take at least a point when they travel to the Goodison Park to play their next encounter in the Premier League. They claimed a valuable point against a struggling Middlesbrough and Sean Dyche has made the top half finish a priority. The fear of relegation is not there anymore and the Clarets can play the remaining games with free flowing football.
Burnley have been awful away from home but has shown signs of improvement in recent games. A point from the Goodison Park would be more than enough if they are to secure a position in the top half. They are yet to win an away match and Dyche’s side have all the qualities to trouble Everton in the next encounter.
Predicted 4-4-2 Burnley Lineup Against Everton
Defence
Tom Heaton has acted like a mountain in the Burnley goal and had he been not in the goal the situation could have been worse. There are no questions about replacing the 30-year old who has been in top form this season.
The duo of Ben Mee and Michael Keane has given ample support to Heaton and has been superb in the Clarets centre defence.
Stephen Ward will try to make use of the opportunity he gets on the left side of the defence.
Matthew Lowton has registered two assists so far and would be eager for a few more.
Midfield
Controversial midfielder Joey Barton will try to provide the depth to the Burnley midfield. Burnley are struggling for creativity in the middle of the pitch and Dyche would be depending on the 34-year-old to provide that depth to the midfield.
Jeff Hendrick will try to ease the pressure by getting as much as possession in their favour.
Attack
The Clarets have an exciting prospect in Robbie Brady. The ex-Norwich City player has all the qualities to thrive in the Premier League. Brady hasn’t been able to recreate the form but he definitely has the firepower within him.
George Boyd will try to use his height to give some aerial advantage to his team.
It is very unlikely that Dyche will change his forward line. All Burnley wants is goals and Andre Gray will be handed the task to provide it. The 25-year-old hasn’t been able to convert the chances into goals as regularly as he would have liked.
Alongside Gray, it will be Ashley Barnes. The 27-year-old would try to help his team by scoring a few more.
