According to various reports, Real Madrid are eyeing a huge move for Chelsea’s superstar Eden Hazard in the coming summer. And to ensure that the deal doesn’t fall through by the slightest of chances, the Whites are planning to include their talented goal scorer Alvaro Morata in the deal.
The deal could be worth a whopping £120 million apparently and Chelsea might not be able to resist such a lucrative offer this time. Hazard has been Chelsea’s best player for the last five years, in which he has scored 69 goals and assisted 61 times in 240 appearances and the Blues have resisted many clubs from preying on the Belgian winger throughout that period.
A realistic possibility surfaced last year when Chelsea finished 10th in the Premier League with the player willing to leave the club. However, with Real Madrid serving their transfer ban, a move couldn’t materialise and the Belgian now looks keen to join one of the greatest clubs in the world with an opportunity arising.
With the ban lifted now, Real are planning a major remodelling of their squad this summer. With most of the players ageing, manager Zinedine Zidane is eyeing to replace them with fresh blood in the next few seasons. Taking advantage of Real’s inability to buy players, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain have sliced up some of the cream of the crop in the last two windows and Real now want to make sure that they get the best of the rest.
Alvaro Morata has been Chelsea manager Antonio Conte’s primary target as Diego Costa approaches a departure from Stamford Bridge as interest from the Far East intensifies. Conte worked with him in Juventus, where they had a successful season winning the Serie A and reaching the finals of the Champions League. Getting him in the deal could just do the trick for Real to land Hazard.
A product of Belgian side AFC Tubize U19, Eden Hazard has made his way through the ranks of LOSC Lille before Chelsea recognised his talent in 2012. He established himself as their star player fast scoring nine goals in the first season. He has played 240 matches for Chelsea since then and was a key figure in their Premier League title charge under Jose Mourinho in the 2014-15 season.
One of the best attacking-midfielders in the Premier League, Hazard’s dribbling abilities and pace on and off the ball is unmatched. After a dismal season last year where he could manage only four goals in the whole campaign, Hazard is back this time with his magical touch scoring 14 already in 29 appearances.
Real are willing to offer a mammoth £120 million for him, which if happens will break Manchester United’ world-record fee for Paul Pogba in 2016. Chelsea are reportedly offering a mouth-watering £300,00 a week to Hazard to stay, but it is apparently not going to stop him.
