Sam Allardyce is now orchestrating an incredible come back at the Selhurst Park and though a number of players have improved in this time, one player who has been excellent throughout the season is winger Wilfried Zaha. An outcast from the Old Trafford in the past, Zaha joined Palace on a permanent basis in 2015 and is enjoying his best season in front of goal.
He has six goals and nine assists to his name this season and though he is an important part of the squad for the Eagles, he has reportedly rejected a new deal and is up for grabs this summer. According to reports, Palace are ready to offer him record wages to keep him at the club but it is understood that Zaha has decided to move on and is surely going to attract interest from a number of clubs in the Premier League. So here are three clubs who should make a move for the 24-year old this summer:
Tottenham Hotspur:
Constantly linked with a move for the English star, Pochettino is reportedly in the front seat for his signature and what a signing he could be at the White Hart Lane! Unlike Moussa Sissoko who failed to bring his form from the St James Park, Zaha has been in the Premier League since the start of his career and is a player who is only going to get better.
At 24, he already has more than 200 appearances in the leagues in England. He ticks every box in Pochettino’s recruitment policy and there is no doubt that the Spurs will make a move for him at the end of the season.
West Ham United:
Though not really a transfer target for West Ham at the moment, Zaha could be the man the Hammers have been missing since the exit of Dimitri Payet in January.
Quick and strong in the air, Zaha is a typical winger who has every attribute to make him a success at the Olympic Stadium next season. Slaven Bilic, the current manager for West Ham, may or may not be at the club come the next season but West Ham, who need some attacking additions are going to spend at the end of the season and there are very few options better than Zaha this summer.
Liverpool:
Though not many Reds’ fans will agree, Liverpool could be one of the clubs who could make a move for the former Manchester United man this summer. Liverpool lack genuine width in the squad as Sadio Mane is the only winger in the current squad.
He has been productive for Liverpool which might push Klopp in spending on Zaha this summer. The likes of Julian Brandt and Christian Pulisic are no closer to a move to Anfield and Jurgen Klopp might be best-served spending on a player who has already proven himself in the Premier League.
His affiliation with United in the past could be a hindrance but if Zaha is a hit at Anfield, it will be another thorn in the United flesh.
