Jurgen Klopp has expressed his frustration over Adam Lallana’s injury while playing for England. He also made it clear that he doesn’t want to blame Gareth Southgate for his injury.
Lallana has emerged as one of the crucial players for both club and country this season. He sustained a thigh injury during his international duty for England in the 2-0 win over Lithuania. Lallana had previously been sidelined for a brief period and this time he is expected to be out for at least a month.
Klopp has to chalk his strategy against Everton without his star midfielder. The German gaffer said, “I was not happy that he played on Wednesday, but it is not about blaming Gareth Southgate.
“I think it is absolutely normal to have contact with the manager of the national team. It is not about appreciating [the call] it is about the normal situation. We both share players.
“I respect 100% the decisions of other managers because they have to respect my decisions, too.”
