Barcelona are ready to fight it out in the last stages of La Liga to take a last shot at the Spanish League title. Real Madrid are currently leading the table with 65 points and have a match in hand. Barcelona squandered the chance as they fell to a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Deportivo La Coruna after which Real Madrid reclaimed the top spot. Luis Enrique has already announced that he is not going to continue as the manager after this season and will try a last gasp attempt to earn a treble as they are yet to compete in the Copa Del Rey and Champions League quarter-final.
Barcelona are already two points off the pace and if Los Blancos win the game in hand, the Catalans will be under real pressure.
Strongest Barcelona lineup to pip Real Madrid to the title
Defence
Despite the arrival of Jasper Cillessen, Marc-Andre Ter Stegen has managed to keep his place in the starting lineup. He has made some silly mistakes this season but as a whole, he has been good for the Catalans.
Enrique brought Digne to give competition and cover for left back Jordi Alba who has been a bit inconsistent. But on his day he is an absolute delight to watch.
Sergi Roberto has so far failed in to fill the void left by Dani Alves. The midfielder has been used out of position by Enrique and he has repaid the faith with some very good performances. While the injury to Vidal has ruled him out of the season and hence has left Roberto as the only option.
Gerard Pique and Samuel Umtiti have so far done a brilliant job at the heart of the Barcelona defence. Umtiti has been brilliant in his debut season and his form has kept Javier Mascherano out of the starting lineup.
Midfield
Sergio Busquets has been a mainstay in the holding midfield position and his passing range is vast. His defensive antics in front of the defence has allowed the two side-backs to overlap continuously.
In Andreas Iniesta and Ivan Rakitic, Barcelona have one of the most brilliant central midfield pairs in the world. They will hope to appear for the majority of the games till the end of the season.
Attack
The trio of MSN (Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar) will have to step up and deliver to stay in the hunt for the title.
