Alexis Sanchez has been strongly linked with a move away from the Emirates. The Chilean was dropped against Liverpool from the starting lineup in a high voltage clash for the first time this season. This ongoing tussle has triggered interest amongst a few clubs, namely Juventus, Bayern Munich and Sevilla. Arsene Wenger had earlier stated that the player won’t be leaving the North London club anytime soon but given the current situation, the club might try to cash in on him when the transfer window opens again in Summer.
The Chilean’s contract is set to expire in 2018 but he could leave the club early if they decide to sell the player. Speculations have grown stronger after the recent incidents in the Arsenal training ground. Sanchez reportedly had a row with some of the players and also had an altercation with his teammates in the dressing room. His behaviour is a growing concern among the club hierarchy which could also be one of the reasons why the club might want to get rid of the player.
Here are the three possible destinations for the player if he indeed makes a move away.
Sevilla
If rumours are to be believed, Sanchez has expressed his interest on a return to La Liga with Sevilla being the destination. The Spanish club are currently flying high in the La Liga as they are third in the League. If Sanchez does join the club he will be reunited with his former international manager Jorge Sampaoli. He has a very good relation with the gaffer and had won two Copa America with him. But joining Sevilla would be a downward step for him as Arsenal are still regarded as one of the most iconic clubs in Europe.
Manchester City
Pep Guardiola would love to have the player at Etihad and can also afford his wage demands. With Sergio Aguero struggling to clinch a first team place, Sanchez, being a more fluid and adaptable player could be the alternate option. He has played as a centre-forward this season and has been immensely successful in that position.
Juventus
The defending Italian champions are a long-time admirer of the 28-year-old. Arsenal hasn’t won a major trophy for a while but if Sanchez makes a move to Turin he will be guaranteed of silverware. The reigning Italian Champions are eight points clear of second-placed AS Roma and are on their way towards their 33rd Serie A title.
