Jose Mourinho has expressed his concerns over Manchester United’s home form this season. United played a 1-1 draw against 10 men Bournemouth which could eventually cost them a Champions League place.
This is the 10th draw for United this season and 7th at Old Trafford. The English side had earlier shared points with Stoke, Burnley, Arsenal, West Ham, Liverpool, Hull and Bournemouth at home. The hosts wasted a number of chances against the Cherries and Zlatan Ibrahimovic missed a rare penalty.
Marcos Rojo gave the lead to the home side in the 23rd minute but their celebrations were short-lived as Joshua King converted from the spot to equalise for the home side after Phil Jones had fouled Mark Pugh inside the penalty box.
The Portuguese rued the missed chances.
“If you look at the points we lost at home – I don’t speak about the Man City match – all the other matches we drew.
“If you accumulate these points, you are talking about 10 or 12 and with these points we are not just speaking about the top four, we would be speaking about the top two or top one.
“We lost too many points at home and obviously cost us our position.
“Are we dead in relation to the top four? No, we are not dead. We are not dead.
“But the reality is that we are losing too many points at home.”
