It seems Michy Batshuayi’s days with Chelsea are going to end sooner rather than later. The 23-year-old was signed from Marseille but has failed to start a single Premier League game this season. The Italian, Conte, has preferred Diego Costa up front from the start of this season and has maintained the pecking order throughout. And even in Costa’s absence, Conte had deployed Eden Hazard in that position rather than using the Batshuayi.
According to reports, the player could leave Stamford Bridge if he doesn’t get enough first team football as he has been playing the second fiddle to Costa for far too long. Chelsea will be looking forward to bolstering their attack and have already been linked with Fernando Llorente and Alvaro Morata. If Batshuayi does leave the West London Giants T4O looks at 3 options where he could fit.
West Ham United
The Hammers were considering roping in the player in the last transfer window itself but failed in their efforts. Diafra Sakho is yet to be fit from his injury while Andy Carroll hasn’t been consistent enough for West Ham United. The addition of Batshuayi would be a huge boost for Bilic.
The Belgian teenager has shown glimpses of his talent in the few number of matches he has played for the Blues and could offer some serious competition to Sakho and Carroll.
Swansea City
Paul Clement has been doing a wonderful job for the Swans and the one position he would like to strengthen would be the striking option. Swansea City brought Fernando Llorente from Sevilla at the start of the season and the striker has scored a mere nine goals which have led Clement to consider some alternate options in the summer window.
Antonio Conte is reportedly very keen for a reunion with Llorente who had played under him at Juventus. The Swans might opt for a swap deal with both the player going either way. Batshuayi is not ready to give up and this will be the ideal platform to prove his potential.
Marseille
The other option for the Belgian is a return to his former club. The French club was ready to take back their player on loan but Conte somehow managed to keep a hold on the player. With Conte preferring a 3-4-3 formation his future is looking bleak at the moment.
If Diego Costa does leave Chelsea it is still very unlikely for Conte to start Batshuayi who has not been able to impress him since his high-profile arrival from Marseille.
