Things are not going well at Arsenal. The Gunners were dealt a major blow as they were defeated 3-1 against Chelsea in the Premier League. They are also on the verge of being dumped out from Europe after Bayern Munich thrashed them 5-1 in the UEFA Champions League.
Added to that, recently the Emirates staff reportedly told a group of supporters that Alexis Sanchez is not going to sign a new contract with the club. Sanchez’s future has been the subject of speculation as the Chilean has been holding off the contract talks.
He has been demanding an enormous pay rise from his current wage which Arsenal aren’t ready to give.
The Chilean winger has been the central force of Arsenal’s attack this season. Arsene Wenger introduced him in the centre forward position and the player repaid his faith by netting 17 times in the Premier League.
The player has a contract till 2018 but is yet to sign on the dotted line.
