Ryan Giggs has heavily praised Marcus Rashford. The 19-year old broke into the scene almost one year ago.
Giggs was the assistant coach to Louis van Gaal when Rashford made his debut. The teenager scored a brace against Midtjylland on his debut in Europe to announce his arrival. The England international went on to become one of the hottest United academy prospects to ever don the Red and White shirt.
Rashford now is a full-time England international and was in the England squad for Euro 2016. Rashford has a unique record as he has scored on his Premier League debut, England debut and England U-21 debut. Jose Mourinho also seems to be very impressed by his performance and he has been a significant part of his United side.
Giggs said, “I remember watching him the week before that game, it may have even been three or four days before that game, training with the reserves.
“He obviously stood out and he looked sharp, but little did we know that three or four days later he would be starring.
“He is an exciting prospect. He is just so quick and direct. His best position, really, is through the middle, coming up with the goods — he is just an exciting player.
“I always say he is a Man United player because he is exciting, he has got a good mentality and he is tough. I think he’ll do well at United for a long, long time.”
