Adam Lallana is set to sign a new contract which will keep him at Anfield until 2021. Lallana is expected to get a huge increase in his current wage in the tune of £110,000.
Lallana has been instrumental in what has been an erratic season for the Reds. They failed to capitalise on their good start and succumbed to back to back losses in 2017.
Jürgen Klopp’s side have somehow restored some pride after defeating Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 in the last match. Sadio Mane scored both the goals as they inflicted a rare defeat on the North London side.
Lallana moved to Liverpool from Southampton in 2014 in a £25m move. The midfielder has been excellent in the deeper central midfield role as he’s racked up seven goals this season.
He had been injured for quite a while but that doesn’t block his progress. The 28-year-old will follow the suit of Philippe Coutinho who recently pledged his future to the club.
