Harry Kane has revealed the main reason behind their defeat to Liverpool. Spurs lost 2-0 against Liverpool when the two sides faced each other.
Spurs were the clear favourites as the Reds had endured a tough start to the new year. Before the match, Liverpool didn’t have a single win in 2017. But Sadio Mane led from the front as his brace inspired a 2-0victory over the North London side.
The Premier League is the only silverware the Reds are chasing this season after getting knocked out of the EFL Cup and the FA Cup. Liverpool are currently in fifth place with 49 points, 11 points adrift of table-toppers Chelsea.
Harry Kane said, “We’ve been starting slowly in the last month or so.
“We got away with it at City, got punished at Liverpool and punished again at Gent in midweek.
“We wanted to put that right, get on the front foot, press high and win the ball back. We did that and created plenty of early chances, we should have scored a few more but it was a good win in the end.”
