Arsenal faced off against Southampton at St. Mary’s Stadium earlier tonight as they hoped to secure a win on the road in the FA Cup. The Gunners made a slow start to the game and conceded the opening goal in the 35th minute when Ross Stewart found the back of the net. Mikel Arteta’s men went into the half-time break 1-0 down on the scoreline.
Viktor Gyokeres equalised for the North London club in the 68th minute before Shea Charles scored the winning goal for the home side in the 85th minute. The match finished with Arsenal suffering a tough 2-1 loss away from home.
