De Jong And Rashford To Start | 4-2-3-1 Barcelona Predicted Lineup Vs Atletico Madrid

Barcelona will clash heads with Atletico Madrid at the Wanda Metropolitano this Saturday as they hope to secure a victory on the road in La Liga. The Catalan club managed to secure a hard-fought 1-0 win over Rayo Vallecano before the international break, which should keep them in good spirits going into this game.

Hansi Flick will set his men up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to make some changes to his first team for this clash. Frenkie de Jong and Marcus Rashford could both play from the start of this game.

Defence

Joan Garcia will function in goal for the Catalan club after he kept a clean sheet in his last outing. Gerard Martin will play alongside Pau Cubarsi at the centre of the Barcelona backline as they look to keep things solid at the back throughout the 90 minutes.

Ronald Araujo will try to prove his value as the right-back, while Joao Cancelo hopes to catch the eye on the other flank as the left-back. Both of them will have to pick and choose their moments to join in on the attack.

Eric Garcia will offer cover for the defensive positions on the bench.

Midfield

Pedri and Frenkie de Jong will operate as the holding midfielders as they focus on establishing their dominance over the opposition at the centre of the park.

The talented trio of Marcus Rashford, Fermin Lopez and Lamine Yamal will function just ahead of them as part of Flick’s attack. All three of them need to be at their best if Barcelona are to secure a convincing win this weekend.

Marc Casado and Dani Olmo will have to be content with a place on the bench as they await their chance to influence the game in the second 45 minutes if needed.

Attack

Robert Lewandowski will spearhead Barcelona’s attack up top. He has to find a way to be a real threat up top.

Ferran Torres will have to settle for a spot on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the latter stages of the game if the Catalan giants are in need of a goal by then.
