Manchester City Forward Is On The Radar Of Atletico Madrid: Should Pep Let Him Go?

In a recent report, Fichajes stated that Manchester City forward Omar Marmoush is on the radar of Atletico Madrid. It has been revealed that the Spanish club are eyeing a move to sign the Egyptian talent from the Mancunian club this summer.

Marmoush’s Recent Form In English Football

Marmoush has caught the eye at times with his performances as the focal point of Man City’s attack this season. The Egypt international has scored six goals and earned three assists in 29 matches for the Mancunian club in this campaign so far across all competitions.

The 27-year-old is currently one of the most talented forwards in the Premier League. Hence, it won’t be easy for Man City to fend off Atletico Madrid’s interest and keep hold of the player beyond this summer.

His current contract at the Etihad Stadium will run out in the summer of 2029, so Pep Guardiola would be under no immediate pressure to cash in on him at the end of this season.

Should Manchester City Boss Pep Guardiola Let Marmoush Go?

Marmoush is proficient at finding a yard of space for himself to get some strikes in at goal and can shoot the ball with power from long range. He has got the vision to create a few inviting chances for his teammates to score and is a decent dribbler with the ball at his feet.

The Cairo-born talent can even contribute by scoring and creating a handful of important goals for his team. When fit, Marmoush remains a useful member of Guardiola’s match-day squad due to his ability to win matches on his own.

Therefore, Man City would be wise to keep hold of his services for the long run. He is primarily a centre-forward but can also fill in as a left-sided wide player if told to do so by his manager.

Marmoush managed to help the Mancunian club secure the EFL Cup recently. He has got the right attributes and winning mindset to be a real asset in Man City‘s squad in the long run. At 27, Marmoush is about to enter his prime, so Guardiola should not consider letting him go when the transfer window reopens later this summer.
