Manchester City Are In Advanced Talks To Recruit This Nottingham Forest Star: Good Fit For Pep?

In a recent segment on Youtube, renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano claimed that Manchester City are in advanced talks to recruit Nottingham Forest star Elliot Anderson. Romano said,

“Man City are pushing to sign Elliot Anderson. They are in advanced talks with his agents in advanced conversations in terms of … just asking about the situation of the player.”

“So nothing has been agreed, nothing has been done. Nothing has been completed but I mean advanced conversations about inquiring for the player.”

“So Man City have been clear. They see Elliot Anderson as a target. Again, we are not yet at the stage of personal terms agreed. We are not yet at the stage of deal done. We are not yet at the stage of deal final stages, but for sure Manchester City confirmed their interest to those close to Anderson.”

“Manchester United are attentive to the situation as well. Man United love the player. But at the moment Man City are pushing because in midfield Man City will be very busy as well.”

Anderson’s Impressive Form In The Premier League

Anderson is having a solid campaign at the Midlands club as he has put in a run of impressive displays for them in the Premier League. The 23-year-old has found the back of the net twice and earned three assists in 41 appearances for Nottingham this season in multiple competitions.

The English sensation is currently among the best central midfielders in the Premier League. Thus, it is no wonder that Man City are showing interest in signing him this summer.

Will Anderson Be A Good Fit For Manchester City?

Anderson loves a tackle and can time his challenges well to earn possession back for his side inside his half. He doesn’t mind clearing the danger when needed and is a good passer of the ball as well.

The English midfield ace can contribute by scoring and creating a few important goals for his team. He is already quite familiar with the Premier League and won’t take much time to settle into life at the Mancunian club.

Anderson would add more energy and dynamism to Man City boss Pep Guardiola’s midfield. He is more than capable of nailing down a regular starting spot at the Etihad Stadium.

At 23, Anderson has his best years ahead of him, which makes him a decent fit for the Mancunian outfit’s needs this off-season. He might even help Man City challenge for some major trophies in the coming years.
