Araujo, Lopez And Yamal To Start | 4-2-3-1 Barcelona Predicted Lineup Vs Newcastle United

Barcelona will entertain Newcastle United at the Nou Camp this Wednesday evening as they look to secure a win in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League tie. The Catalan club did well to earn a dominant 5-2 victory over Sevilla recently, so they will be keen on keeping their good form going in midweek.

Hansi Flick will set his players up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to make some changes to his first team for this game. Ronald Araujo, Fermin Lopez and Lamine Yamal could all play from the start of this clash.

Defence

Joan Garcia will function in between the sticks for the Catalan club after he conceded two goals in his last outing. Pau Cubarsi will play alongside Gerard Martin at the heart of the Barcelona backline as they look to keep a good shape defensively throughout the 90 minutes.

Ronald Araujo will operate as the right-back, while Joao Cancelo hopes to catch the eye on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will have to pick and choose their moments to join in on the attack.

Eric Garcia will provide cover for the defensive positions on the bench.

Midfield

Dani Olmo and Pedri will function as the holding midfielders for the Catalan club as they hope to win the 50-50 duels in the middle of the park.

The gifted trio of Raphinha, Fermin Lopez and Lamine Yamal will play just ahead of them as part of Flick’s attack. All three of them need to be at their best if Barcelona are to secure a win in this crucial second leg in midweek.

Gavi, Marc Casado and Roony Bardghji will have to settle for a place on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the second 45 minutes if required.

Attack

Robert Lewandowski will spearhead Barca’s attack up top. He has to find a way to be a real menace in front of the Newcastle goal.

Marcus Rashford and Ferran Torres will be available for selection on the bench as they await their chance to shine in the latter stages of the contest if the Catalan club are in need of a goal.
