Newcastle United faced off against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge earlier this evening as they looked to secure a win on the road in the Premier League. The Magpies made a bright start to the game and scored the opening goal in the 18th minute thanks to Anthony Gordon’s effort. Eddie Howe’s men went into the half-time break 1-0 to the good.

The Tyneside club defended their slender advantage well in the second 45 minutes and secured a hard-fought 1-0 win away from home.

He performed his defensive duties well and was decent on the ball.

CM: Joe Willock – 7.5/10

Willock was a positive influence at both ends of the pitch and has got an assist to show for his efforts.
