Leeds United Are Facing Stiff Competition For This Ligue 1 Playmaker: Should Farke Go For Him?

In a recent report, the Daily Mail stated that Leeds United are facing stiff competition for Olympique Lyonnais playmaker Pavel Sulc. It has been mentioned that the Whites would have to compete with Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa and other Premier League clubs in the race to land the Czech attacker next summer.

Sulc’s Impressive Numbers In French Football

Sulc has enjoyed a good run of form for Lyon this season as he has put in a handful of impressive displays for them in the final third. The 25-year-old has found the back of the net 14 times and secured ten assists in 35 matches for the French outfit in this campaign across various competitions.

The Czech talent is currently among the best wingers in Ligue 1. Thus, the Whites would do well to lure him to Elland Road next summer.

His current contract at Lyon will run out in the summer of 2029, which could make it difficult for Leeds to sign him on the cheap later this year.

Should Leeds United Boss Daniel Farke Go For Sulc?

Sulc excels at finding a yard of space for himself to get a few strikes in at goal. He has got the vision to create some inviting chances in the final third and is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet.

The Czech sensation can contribute by scoring and creating his fair share of goals up top. Sulc mainly operates in the number ten position but can also function as a box-to-box midfielder or as a centre-forward up top if needed. However, it remains to be seen whether he can make a smooth transition to life in the Premier League if the Whites manage to get him on board this summer.

Sulc would add more firepower to Leeds boss Daniel Farke’s frontline. He is good enough to challenge for a regular first-team spot at the West Yorkshire club in the coming years.

At 25, Sulc has his peak years ahead of him, which makes him a worthy target for the Whites to consider at the end of this campaign. All in all, Farke would be wise to go for a player of his skill set later this year.
