In a recent report, Foot Mercato mentioned that Chelsea are facing stiff competition for Juventus forward Dusan Vlahovic. It has been claimed that the Blues would have to rival Tottenham Hotspur, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and Borussia Dortmund in the race to land the Serbian striker next summer.
Vlahovic’s Recent Form In Serie A
Vlahovic has managed to shine at times in the final third for Juve this season, but has struggled to find consistency in Serie A. The Serbian forward has scored six times and earned a couple of assists in 17 matches for the Turin outfit in this campaign across all competitions.
The 26-year-old has given a good account of himself in the final third as he is averaging 3.97 shots per 90 minutes in Serie A. Vlahovic has kept 36.7% of his attempts on target (stats via fbref.com).
His current contract at the Italian club will run out in the summer of 2026. Thus, it makes sense for the Blues to try and sign the Serbian talent on a free transfer at the end of this campaign.

Should Chelsea Boss Liam Rosenior Go For Vlahovic?
Vlahovic is proficient at finding a yard of space for himself to get some strikes in at goal. He can create the odd chance for his teammates in the final third and is a strong runner with the ball as well. However, Vlahovic needs to find a way to improve his link-up play up top.
Standing at 1.90m, the Serbian sensation can use his strong frame to dominate the opposition defenders in the air. However, only time will tell whether he can cope with the high intensity of the Premier League if the Blues manage to sign him this summer.
We can expect Vlahovic to add more firepower to Chelsea boss Liam Rosenior’s attack. He has what it takes to fight for a regular starting spot at the West London club in the coming years.
At 26, Vlahovic has his peak years ahead of him, which makes him a worthy target for the Blues to pursue this summer. He might even help Chelsea compete across all fronts in the future. Therefore, Rosenior would be wise to go for a player of his quality at the end of this campaign.
