In a recent report, Foot Mercato’s Santi Aouna claimed that Arsenal are facing stiff competition for Lille midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi. It has been revealed that the Gunners would have to rival Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid, Inter Milan and Manchester United in the race to land the French talent this year.
Bouaddi’s Impressive Form In French Football
Bouaddi has enjoyed a decent run of form at the French club as he has put in a run of eye-catching displays for them at the centre of the park. The 18-year-old has secured one assist in 25 matches for Lille this season across all fronts.
The French talent has proven his worth in the middle of the park by averaging 0.87 shots per 90 minutes in Ligue 1. He has kept 33.3% of his attempts on target (stats via fbref.com).
His current contract at the French club will expire in the summer of 2029. Therefore, the Gunners would have to make a convincing offer if they want to bring him to the Emirates Stadium at the end of this campaign.

Will Bouaddi Be A Good Choice For Arsenal Boss Mikel Arteta?
Bouaddi can shoot the ball with venom from long range and has got the eye to play some decisive passes in the final third. He is a good dribbler with the ball as well and can work hard for his side defensively inside his half.
The French sensation is primarily a box-to-box midfielder but can also fill in as a defensive midfielder if asked to do so. Bouaddi has proven himself to be a good performer in Ligue 1, but the jury is out on whether he can cope with the physical side and high intensity of the Premier League if the Gunners manage to snap him up next summer.
We can expect Bouaddi to bring more quality and depth to Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta’s frontline. He is more than capable of fighting for a regular first-team spot at the North London club in the coming seasons.
At 18, the future looks quite bright for Arsenal as long as he can improve with each year. Hence, he would be a great choice for the Gunners to consider in this summer transfer period.
