Barcelona were dismantled and taken apart by PSG in one of their worst nights in European football and there is a concern on how the Nou Camp outfit will be recovering from the hiding they got in the French capital. With Real Madrid ahead by 1 point and having 2 games in hand in the League, things are indeed looking extremely bleak for the Blaugrana. And especially for Luis Enrique who will have a lot to answer if they finish the season in the same vein. They will back themselves to get a win over Alaves in the Copa Del Rey final but apart from that, there doesn’t seem to be anything else of note.
Overcoming a 4-0 deficit can be put aside and the way Real are notching up wins despite not being at their best spells trouble for Messi and Co. They will be facing Leganes next in the La Liga in the weekend and not only that match, they will have to aim for wins in every match they play until the end of the season. A Barcelona team from previous seasons would have firmly believed they could pull off something like this but the current lot with their lack of any Plan B and a team which looks torn between a period of transition and a state of normalcy, the ask might be too much.
PREDICTED BARCELONA LINE-UP VS LEGANES (4-3-3)
DEFENCE
Ter Stegen will be in goal and he will know he has to keep performing with Cillessen giving a good account of himself in the cup tie. On the right-hand side, Sergi Roberto will line-up and he will look to cut down on his mistakes. Pique and Umtiti will once again line-up in central defence and will be happy with nothing less than a clean sheet. Alba will be at left-back.
MIDFIELD
We will see a couple of changes in midfield with Busquets missing the game through suspension which will see Andre Gomes sit in the deep holding midfield role. Iniesta started in midweek and might start from the bench. Rakitic is likely to start in his place then and the other player in the trio can be Denis Suarez, who has been impressive in the chances he has got.
ATTACK
Neymar is a doubt with an ankle injury and might be replaced by Alcacer with Arda Turan also unlikely to be fit in time. Suarez will lead the line while Messi will be on the right wing.
