In a recent report, The Daily Mail mentioned that Tottenham Hotspur are eyeing a move for West Ham United winger Crysencio Summerville. It has been mentioned that Spurs have set their sights on the Dutch wide player this year.
Summerville’s Recent Form In English Football
Summerville is having a decent campaign at the London club as he has put in a few impressive displays for them in the final third. The 24-year-old has found the back of the net twice and earned four assists in 18 matches for West Ham this season in all competitions.
The Rotterdam-born talent has proven his worth in the final third by averaging 1.98 shots per 90 minutes in the Premier League. He has kept 25.9% of his attempts on target (stats via fbref.com).
His current contract at the London Stadium will run out in the summer of 2029. Hence, Spurs would have to make a convincing offer if they want to recruit Summerville this year.

Should Tottenham Hotspur Boss Thomas Frank Go For Summerville?
Summerville is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and can make some driving runs with it out in the wide areas. He has got the eye to play a few decisive passes in the final third and can strike the ball with venom from long range.
The Dutch talent can chip in by scoring and creating a few important goals for his team. Summerville is primarily a left-winger but can also function as a right-sided wide player if needed. He is already quite familiar with the Premier League and won’t take much time to settle into life at Tottenham.
Summerville would no doubt enhance the quality of Spurs boss Thomas Frank’s attack. He is good enough to compete for regular first-team football at the North London club in the coming seasons.
At 24, Summerville has his peak years ahead of him, which makes him a good choice for Spurs to pursue this January or at the end of this campaign. However, he is far from a consistent performer and would need time to prove his worth at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Still, we can expect him to improve the quality of Frank’s match-day squad. Thus, Spurs would be wise to go for a player of Summerville’s quality this year.
