In a recent report, Foot Mercato claimed that Sunderland are in a strong position to sign Maccabi Netanya winger Jocelin Ta Bi, who is currently playing on loan at Petah Tikva. It has been mentioned that the Black Cats are showing interest in acquiring the services of the Ivory Coast wide player.
Ta Bi’s Impressive Loan Spell At Petah Tikva
Ta Bi has enjoyed a decent loan spell at Petah Tikva as he has produced a string of impressive displays for them in the final third. The Ivory Coast talent has been involved in 12 matches for the Israeli outfit this season, netting a couple of goals and grabbing two assists in the process.
The 20-year-old is currently among the best young wingers in European football. Therefore, Sunderland will do well to get a deal over the line for him this year.
His current contract at his parent club, Maccabi Netanya, will expire in the summer of 2028, which could make it difficult for the Black Cats to sign him on a cut-price deal this year.

Should Sunderland Boss Regis Le Bris Go For Ta Bi?
Ta Bi is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and has got the eye to play some decisive passes on the offensive end of the field. He can shoot the ball with venom from long range and can contribute by scoring and creating the odd goal for his team.
The Ivory Coast sensation is primarily a right-sided wide player but can also function as a centre-forward if told to do so. However, there are some concerns over whether he can cope with the physical style and high intensity of the Premier League.
We can expect Ta Bi to bring more quality and depth to Sunderland head coach Regis Le Bris’ frontline. He is good enough to serve as a good, rotational piece in the Wearside club’s squad.
At 20, Ta Bi has got the potential to be a future star in English football. Therefore, it makes sense for the Black Cats to go for a player of his skill set this year. However, Le Bris has to give him some time to adjust to life in England before he can unlock the best out of him.
