Manchester City welcomed Chelsea at the Etihad Stadium earlier tonight as they looked to secure all three points at home in the Premier League. The Mancunian giants made a quick start to the game and got their noses ahead in the 42nd minute when Tijjani Reijnders found the back of the net. Pep Guardiola’s men went into the half-time break 1-0 to the good.
Man City defended their lead well in the second half but conceded the equaliser in injury time when Enzo Fernandez scored from long range. The match finished with the Mancunian giants being held to a frustrating 1-1 draw at the Etihad.

LB: Nico O’Reilly – 6.5/10
He did his fair share of defending and should have done better to prevent Gusto’s cross in the lead-up to Chelsea’s equaliser.
CM: Bernardo Silva – 6/10
Silva made two key chances in the final third, but there was no goal for him.
CM: Rodri – 7.5/10
He got stuck in with some crunching tackles and engineered a few decent chances in the final third.
CM: Tijjani Reijnders – 7.5/10
Reijnders was a positive influence at both ends of the field and managed to score the opener with a powerful strike in the 42nd minute.

He managed to shine at times on the right flank but failed to threaten the opponent’s goal.

Foden caused some headaches for his marker but struggled to find the back of the net.
