In a recent report, Fichajes stated that Real Madrid have set their sights on Brentford defender Michael Kayode. It has been mentioned that Los Blancos are eyeing a move to bring the Italian full-back to the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.
Kayode’s Impressive Form In The Premier League
The 21-year-old is having a solid campaign at the English club after he put in a string of impressive displays for them on the right side of their defence. Kayode has featured in 22 matches for Brentford this season on all fronts.
The Italian talent has given a good account of himself on the right flank as he has made 42 tackles, 17 blocks, 23 interceptions and 61 clearances in the Premier League. He has even distributed the ball accurately from inside his half, based on his pass completion rate of 75.4% in the top tier of English football (stats via fbref.com).
His current contract at the Gtech Community Stadium will run out in the summer of 2030. Therefore, Los Blancos would have to make a convincing offer if they are serious about recruiting Kayode this year.

Should Real Madrid Boss Xabi Alonso Snap Kayode Up?
Kayode is a good tackler of the ball and can scan the danger well to secure the ball back for his team inside his half. He usually puts his foot through the ball when needed, but needs to add some goals and assists to his game.
The Italian sensation is primarily a right-back but can also operate as a left-back or as a right-sided wide player if asked to do so. However, it remains to be seen whether he can make a smooth transition to life in La Liga if Los Blancos manage to secure his services this year.
We can expect Kayode to bring more quality and depth to Real Madrid boss Xabi Alonso’s defence. He has what it takes to fight for a regular starting spot at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.
At 21, Kayode has got the potential to be a future star in Spain as long as he continues to improve with each season. He is already good enough to help the Madrid giants compete across all competitions in the coming years. Therefore, Alonso would be wise to snap him up this January or next summer.
