In a recent report, Fichajes mentioned that Barcelona are keen on re-signing Las Palmas defender Mika Marmol. It has been stated that the Catalan club are eager to bring the Spanish centre-half back to the Nou Camp next year.
Marmol’s Impressive Form In Spanish Football
The 24-year-old is having a decent campaign at the Spanish club as he has put in a series of impressive displays for them in the final third. Marmol has scored two goals and earned one assist in 14 appearances for Las Palmas this season in multiple competitions.
The Spanish talent has proven his worth as one of the best centre-backs in La Liga 2 this season. Thus, it is no surprise that Barcelona are hoping to re-sign him next year.
His current contract at the Spanish club will expire at the end of this campaign, which could open the door for the Catalan giants to sign him on the cheap this January or on a free transfer next summer.

Should Barcelona Boss Hansi Flick Bring Marmol Back?
Marmol is a good tackler of the ball and can time his challenges well to earn the ball back for his team inside his half. He usually puts his foot through the ball when needed and excels at playing his way out from the back.
However, it remains to be seen whether the Spanish defensive ace can maintain his good form in top-flight football. Marmol is primarily a centre-back but can also fill in as a left-back if told to do so. He is already quite familiar with Barcelona from his time as a youth player at La Masia and won’t take much time to settle into life at the Catalan club.
Marmol would no doubt enhance the quality of Barca boss Hansi Flick’s backline. He is good enough to challenge for regular first-team football at the Nou Camp.
At 24, Marmol has his best years ahead of him, which makes him a worthy target for Barcelona to consider in 2026. He would also help the Catalan outfit compete across all fronts in the coming years. Therefore, Flick would be wise to bring him back to the Nou Camp soon.
