Liverpool welcomed Brighton and Hove Albion at Anfield earlier this afternoon as they looked to earn all three points at home in the Premier League. The Reds made a dream start to the contest and got their noses ahead in the first minute when Hugo Ekitike found the back of the net. Arne Slot’s men went into the half-time break 1-0 up on the scoreline.
Ekitike doubled his team’s advantage in the 60th minute as the Merseyside club earned a solid 2-0 win in front of their home fans.

Gravenberch caught the eye at times on both ends of the field.

He was full of energy and running in the middle of the park, but there was no goal for him.

Jones was positive on the ball and made a few decent runs with it from midfield.
RW: Dominik Szoboszlai – 7/10
He worked his socks off on the right flank and performed his defensive responsibilities well.
ST: Hugo Ekitike – 9/10
Ekitike scored a brace to help the Reds secure a good win today. He deserves the man of the match award.

He linked up play well with others around him but failed to register a goal.
