Chelsea will face off against Leeds United at Elland Road this Wednesday night as they look to secure a good result on the road in the Premier League. The Blues managed to earn a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Arsenal recently, which should keep them in good spirits ahead of this game.
Enzo Maresca will set his players up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to make a lot of changes to his first team for this clash. Josh Acheampong, Benoit Badiashile and Andrey Santos could all play from the start of this game.
4-2-3-1 Chelsea Predicted Lineup To Face Leeds United
Defence
Robert Sanchez will function in between the sticks for the Blues after conceding one goal in his last appearance. Tosin Adarabioyo will operate alongside Benoit Badiashile at the centre of the Chelsea backline as they look to keep a solid shape when defending inside their half.
Josh Acheampong will play at right-back, while Marc Cucurella hopes to give a good account of himself on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will have to pick and choose their moments to join in on the attack.
Wesley Fofana and Malo Gusto will offer cover for the defensive positions on the bench.
Midfield
Enzo Fernandez will anchor the midfield along with Andrey Santos as they look to win the 50-50 battles at the centre of the park.
The talented trio of Jamie Gittens, Joao Pedro and Estevao will operate just ahead of them as part of Maresca’s attack. All three of them need to be at their best if the Blues are to come away with maximum points from Elland Road this Wednesday night.
Alejandro Garnacho, Cole Palmer and Reece James will have to settle for a place on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the second 45 minutes if required.
Attack
Liam Delap will lead the line for the West London club up top. He has to find a way to cause some problems for the Leeds centre-backs during the 90 minutes.
Marc Guiu will be available for selection on the bench as he waits for his chance to shine in the latter stages of the contest if Chelsea are in need of a goal by then.
