Real Madrid Want To Land This Bundesliga Midfielder: Should Alonso Get Him On Board?

In a recent report, Fichajes stated that Real Madrid want to land Stuttgart midfielder Angelo Stiller. It has been mentioned that the German talent prefers a move to join Los Blancos next year.

Stiller’s Impressive Form In La Liga

The 24-year-old has been a good performer for Stuttgart this season as he has put in a string of eye-catching displays for them in the middle of the park. Stiller has registered one goal and secured five assists in 17 matches for the German outfit in this campaign so far across all fronts.

The German talent has offered decent protection for his teammates at the back and has done well to make ten tackles, nine blocks, eight interceptions and 12 clearances in the Bundesliga. He has even been excellent when distributing possession from midfield based on his pass completion rate of 85.8% in the top tier of German football (stats via fbref.com).

His current contract at the German club will run out in the summer of 2028. Therefore, Los Blancos would have to make a convincing offer if they are serious about recruiting Stiller next year.

Should Real Madrid Boss Xabi Alonso Get Stiller On Board?

Stiller is a good tackler of the ball and can sense the danger well to secure the ball back for his team inside his half. He usually puts his foot through the ball when needed and is a tidy passer of the ball as well.

The German midfielder can chip in by scoring and creating his fair share of goals in the final third. Stiller is primarily a defensive midfielder but can also play as a box-to-box midfielder if told to do so. However, it remains to be seen whether he can make a smooth transition to life in La Liga if Los Blancos manage to sign him next year.

Stiller would bring more quality and depth to Real Madrid boss Xabi Alonso’s midfield. He is good enough to compete for a regular first-team spot at the Madrid club in the coming years.

At 24, Stiller has his best years ahead of him, which makes him a decent choice for Real Madrid to consider this winter or at the end of this campaign. All in all, Alonso should focus on getting him on board next year.
