Despite his rumoured link up with Real Madrid, David De Gea is currently focused at Manchester United.
Real Madrid are currently serving a transfer ban but according to reports, they are readying a bid to entice the Spaniard keeper from Old Trafford. Florentino Perez is not satisfied with Madrid number one Keylor Navas’ performance and wants to replace the keeper with him.
De Gea was on the verge of joining the Spanish giants in 2015 but the deal tumbled after some faulty paperwork and a malfunctioning fax machine. United then extended his contract till 2019 and also have the option to make his stay longer for a further year.
Also, Jose Mourinho would block any move for the Spanish International as it will hurt their progress in building a team that can challenge the title.
De Gea said, “The future, no one knows.
“The future is the future. I’m very happy here — it’s a great club. In England, football is much enjoyed.
On being asked for a potential move to Madrid, he answered, “I will not talk about that. I will not talk about it anymore. Now we need to stay focused with my club.”
