Morgan Schneiderlin claims that Everton can finish above than Manchester United and Liverpool. The French midfielder moved to Goodison Park from United for a fee of £20m and signed a four and a half year deal.
The French midfielder arrived at United from Southampton last season but hadn’t been used by Mourinho this season and moved in a much-hyped transfer to the Toffees. Everton have recently shown some promise as they are currently unbeaten in seven League games.
Romelu Lukaku led from the front as the Merseyside club smashed in six goals past Bournemouth in the last match with Lukaku scoring four of them. They are currently five points adrift of sixth-placed Manchester United but Schneiderlin thinks they have the ability to cut the gap.
He said, “We want to finish high and catch the teams above us.
“Liverpool are six points clear, Manchester United are five – so why not? We can catch them if we had a good run of games. We need to finish strong so we want to give the fans Europa League football for next season and build a platform.”
