Tottenham Hotspur front man Harry Kane has issued a strong warning to Liverpool prior to their meeting on 11th February. A win against Liverpool will knock the Reds out of the title race.
Spurs have lost only two matches so far and that too at the hands of Chelsea and Manchester United. Liverpool are going through a bad phase as they have managed just a single win in 2017. Tottenham will be looking forward to utilise this opportunity as a win against the Merseyside club would put them seven points clear of the Reds.
Liverpool suffered a shocking 2-0 defeat against struggling Hull City. Spurs have a bad record at the Anfield and Mauricio Pochettino‘s side would love to change that record.
Kane who scored the winner against Middlesbrough said, “It is important for us.
“We want to build and if we beat them next week, we go seven points clear of them. We want to catch Chelsea and it is important to stay as high as possible in the table.
“We don’t know if Chelsea can be caught but hopefully they will drop a few points. Chelsea have the nine-point gap but Liverpool dropped points against Hull and Arsenal against Watford. These things happen in the Premier League.”
