Danny Rose says he has discussed possible interests from Manchester United with his manager Mauricio Pochettino. The 26-year-old is currently regarded as one of the best fullbacks in the Premier League.
Rose has been a regular with Tottenham Hotspur and England and has been very consistent. Spurs rewarded the defender for his outstanding performance with a new five-year contract in September.
Mourinho had gone frustrated over the fitness of Luke Shaw. The 21-year-old has been battling injuries since his arrival from Southampton. The United manager had been forced to deploy Matteo Darmian on the left side of the defence as Shaw was not available due to his injury.
Rose said, “I have a relationship with my manager where I can go to speak to him, and I have been to him about those reports. We spoke about a lot of things.
“I am not playing football just for the fun of it. I want to win things. I have seen what has been around in the last couple of months. I am over the moon considering what people’s opinions of me were three or four years ago.
“When I am 34 or 35, I want to look back and see that I have won something. That is the next step for this team, and to do it we have to keep everyone for as long as possible.”
