Chelsea have increased their interest in Celtic keeper Craig Gordon. The 34-year-old has been a prime target for Antonio Conte.
Since Bournemouth have shown their interest in Chelsea second choice Asmir Begovic, Conte has made it clear he will only release the keeper if he finds a suitable replacement. Begovic hasn’t had many chances this season as Courtois has been absolutely brilliant under the bar and the Bosnian keeper has been looking for a way out.
Chelsea had their earlier bid rejected for the keeper and have reportedly made another bid of £4m for the keeper. Gordon had previous experience in the Premier League, having been with Sunderland for five years.
Gordon is the first-choice goalkeeper at Celtic Park and has had a solid season under Brendan Rodgers who are running away with the Scottish Premiership.
With the transfer Window scheduled to end tomorrow, Chelsea have to act first if they really want the keeper at Stamford Bridge.
