Real Madrid will entertain Athletic Bilbao at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium this Sunday night as they try to secure all three points at home in La Liga. Los Blancos suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Arsenal recently, so they would be keen on putting in a much-improved performance this weekend.
Carlo Ancelotti will opt for the 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to make a few changes to his starting XI for this game. Eduardo Camavinga, Brahim Diaz and Fran Garcia could get a chance to impress from the start of this contest.
4-2-3-1 Real Madrid Predicted Lineup To Face Athletic Bilbao
Defence
Thibaut Courtois will play in goal for the Madrid giants after he conceded two goals in his last appearance. Raul Asencio will operate alongside Antonio Rudiger at the centre of Ancelotti’s defence as they try to keep the opposition at bay during the 90 minutes.
Federico Valverde will fill in as the right-back while Fran Garcia hopes to give a good account of himself on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will have to pick and choose their moments to join in on the attack.
Jesus Vallejo will be named on the bench as he offers cover for the centre-back positions.

Midfield
Eduardo Camavinga and Aurelien Tchouameni will operate as Ancelotti’s holding midfielders as they try to win the 50-50 battles at the centre of the park.
The gifted trio of Vinicius Jr., Jude Bellingham and Brahim Diaz will function just ahead of them as part of Real Madrid‘s attack. All three of them need to move the ball well if they want to engineer a few clear-cut chances to win this contest at the Bernabeu.
Dani Ceballos and Luka Modric will be named on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the second 45 minutes if required.
Attack
Rodrygo will spearhead Los Blancos’ attack up top. He has to find a way to be a constant menace up top.
Endrick will have to be content with a spot on the bench as he waits for his chance to shine in the final quarter if needed. However, Kylian Mbappe will be sidelined for this game due to suspension.
