Manchester United locked horns with Nottingham Forest at the City Ground on Tuesday night as they hoped to earn a good result away from home in the Premier League. The Red Devils made a sloppy start to the game and conceded the opening goal in the fifth minute when Anthony Elanga scored after a wonderful solo run. Ruben Amorim’s men failed to come up with a response and went into the half-time break 1-0 down on the scoreline.
Man United tried to find the equaliser in the second 45 minutes but ended up crashing to a tough 1-0 loss on the road.

GK: Andre Onana – 6/10
Onana couldn’t do much about Elanga’s early goal. He made one solid save during the game.
CB: Leny Yoro – 7/10
He did his fair share of defending and was tidy with his passing.
CB: Matthijs de Ligt – 7/10
The Dutch talent didn’t hesitate to clear the danger when required and won his fair share of aerial duels.
CB: Noussair Mazraoui – 7.5/10
He gave a good account of himself on the defensive end of the field and was decent on the ball as well.
RM: Diogo Dalot – 7/10
He made a few impressive runs with the ball on the right flank and created a few inviting chances for his teammates up top.
CM: Manuel Ugarte – 6/10
Ugarte’s performance was underwhelming in the first half which led to his substitution at half-time.
CM: Casemiro – 6.5/10
He caught the eye at times and was replaced in the 58th minute.
LM: Patrick Dorgu – 7/10
Dorgu caused a few problems for his marker but failed to find the back of the net.
RAM: Alejandro Garnacho – 6.5/10
He was a constant threat in the Nottingham half but has got nothing to show for his efforts.
LAM: Bruno Fernandes – 7.5/10
Fernandes caused a lot of problems for the Nottingham defenders but struggled to help his team get something from this game.
ST: Joshua Zirkzee – 5.5/10
He failed to impress in the first half and was substituted in the 77th minute.
