Former Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard has revealed he had offers from Premier League clubs. The 38-year-old midfielder is right now a free agent.
Lampard left Chelsea two seasons back for New York City FC in the MLS. He spent two seasons at the US scoring 15 goals in 31 games for the club. He also had a brief stint with Manchester City in the Premier League.
One of the most decorated midfielders of all time, Lampard has three Premier League medals and one Uefa Champions League with the Blues. He decided to end his 13 year association with Chelsea when he joined the MLS two seasons ago. The ex-England international is also the record goalscorer for the Premier League club.
He said, “I don’t want to leave and think to myself, ‘Maybe I should have stayed a bit longer.’ I’m dwelling on it,
“I have turned down a few Premier League offers.
“But the fact is, after being at Chelsea for so long and a year with Manchester City, I don’t want to get involved in a relegation dogfight.”
