Barcelona finally managed to beat a low-blocking side in La Liga as they got better of Alaves by 1-0 recently. Their next challenge lies against Valencia in an away fixture in the quarter-final round of the Copa del Rey competition.
As Hansi Flick’s side has already made it into the round of 16 in the UEFA Champions League, they will surely aim to go deep in the cup competition. Hence, expected a top-tier lineup to take on Valencia this weekend.
4-2-3-1 Barcelona Predicted Lineup vs Valencia
Defence
Barcelona are yet to lose a game with Wojciech Szczesny between the sticks and hence, there is no reason to alter the name. Jules Kounde continues to be the main gun at the right-back position for the Spanish side.
Though Ronald Araujo hasn’t been impressive so far, he is likely to pair up with Pau Cubarsi at the heart of the defence. Left-back Alejandro Balde’s contributions often go unnoticed but he is no behind in terms of impact.
Midfield
Frenkie de Jong once again changed the game with his introduction in the second half. Hence, he has a real chance of starting the game in place of Marc Casado.
While Pedri is an automatic choice in the middle of the park, it remains to be seen if Gavi is fit enough to start as suffered a blow to his head.
Attack
Lamine Yamal keeps on getting better and better and is a real threat for the opponents on the right wing. On the other side of the pitch is the running machine Raphinha.
In-form Robert Lewandowski once again leads the attacking line and will fancy chances of finding the back of the net.
