With a defeat and two draws, Barcelona managed to collect only one point out of nine available points in the La Liga in November. It’s definitely a worry sign for them considering how strongly they started the season and raised the expectations.
Hansi Flick’s side will next lock horns with Mallorca in the domestic league on Tuesday. It will be an important game to mark their comeback and collect all three points. Anything less than a win should be considered a failure for them for sure.
4-2-3-1 Barcelona Predicted Lineup Vs Mallorca
Defence
Inaki Pena couldn’t have done much to avoid the two goals he conceded. He should be operating between the sticks once again. Right-back Jules Kounde’s form has degraded in recent weeks and he will look for a redemption.
Pau Cubarsi and Inigo Martinez should form the heart of the defence. However, they can surely be more effective in keeping the scoreline tight. Alejandro Balde was taken off after he suffered a neck injury but he is likely to get the green right to feature as the left-back.
Midfield
Marc Casado was unavailable for selection in the previous game due to suspension. He will surely return to the XI and have the company of Pedri in the middle of the park.
Attack
Lamine Yamal came off the bench as he came back from injury. But he is expected to start this game on the right flank with Raphinha operating on the left wing.
Dani Olmo should also return and play in the central areas behind the striker Robert Lewandowski. Hansi Flick will demand his men to be more clinical in the final third.
Ronald Araujo (hamstring, Andreas Christensen (Achilles), Marc Bernal (knee), Marc-Andre ter Stegen (knee), and Ansu Fati (thigh) are all sidelined for this fixture.
