Liverpool Formulating Big Offer For This Real Madrid Starter: Should They Sign Him?

As per a report published by Fichajes, Liverpool are keen on signing Real Madrid midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni. The Premier League club are even formulating a massive €100 million offer to lure him away to Anfield in the January window.

Aurelien Tchouameni is having a mixed time

Aurelien Tchouameni came into the limelight during his stint at Monaco. Impressed by his immense talent and massive potential, Real Madrid shelled out a mammoth €80 million fee in the summer of 2022 to bring him to the club.

While Tchouameni kicked off with promising results, his recent displays have reflected otherwise. He has already featured in 15 games but hasn’t made a significant impact. He is averaging 2 tackles, 1.5 interceptions, and 1.4 clearances per game (stats via whoscored).

The French defensive midfielder is considered a good reader of the game and has ball-winning abilities. He has a good pace and strong physicality which helps in the middle of the park. He likes to go forward and make line-breaking passes.

Liverpool are bullish on Aurelien Tchouameni

Recently reports emerged that Real Madrid are unhappy with Aurelien Tchouameni’s progress. The club believe the player is not providing enough contributions. Instead, they feel his countryman Eduardo Camavinga is a better choice for the defensive midfielder role.

Hence, the Whites are reportedly open to listening offers for the former. In the latest development, Liverpool are keen on signing Tchouameni as they believe he can succeed in the Premier League and help the side immensely. As Arne Slot’s side has only Wataru Endo for the concerned role, they do need reinforcement in the squad.

The Reds tried to bring Martin Zubimendi in the summer but failed to do so. Hence, they now have their eyes set on the 24-year-old. Liverpool are ready to splash out €100 million to lure him away in the January window.
