West Ham United will lock horns with Nottingham Forest at the City Ground this Saturday afternoon as they hope to earn a positive result on the road in the Premier League. The Hammers managed to secure a narrow 2-1 win over Manchester United recently which should give them a ton of confidence going into the game.
Julen Lopetegui will set his team up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and could be inclined to make changes to his first XI for this clash. Tomas Soucek, Jean-Clair Todibo and Alphonse Areola are expected to play from the start of this game.
4-2-3-1 West Ham United Predicted Lineup To Face Nottingham Forest
Defence
Alphonse Areola will function in between the sticks for the East London club as he looks to keep a clean sheet on the road. Jean-Clair Todibo could get a chance to shine alongside Max Kilman at the centre of the West Ham backline as they focus on keeping the opposition at bay throughout the game.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka will try to catch the eye as the right-back while Emerson Palmieri hopes to give a good account of himself on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will get the license to get forward and express themselves in the Nottingham half.
Aaron Cresswell and Konstantinos Mavropanos will provide cover for the defensive positions on the bench.
Midfield
Edson Alvarez will anchor the midfield along with Guido Rodriguez as they try to win the 50-50 battles at the centre of the park. The gifted trio of Lucas Paqueta, Tomas Soucek and Jarrod Bowen will operate just ahead of them as part of Lopetegui’s attack. All three of them need to combine well if they are to cause problems for the Nottingham centre-backs this weekend.
Crysencio Summerville and Carlos Soler will have to be content with a place on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the second 45 minutes if needed.
Attack
Michail Antonio will lead the line for the East London club in the final third. He has to find a way to be a constant menace up top.
Danny Ings will be named on the bench as he waits for his chance to influence the game as a late-game substitute if required.
