Liverpool will entertain Brighton and Hove Albion at Anfield this Saturday afternoon as they look to secure maximum points at home in the Premier League. The Reds managed to secure a hard-fought 3-2 win over the Seagulls in the EFL Cup recently which should keep them in good spirits ahead of this game.
Arne Slot will opt for the 4-3-3 formation and could revert to his strongest XI for this clash. Virgil Van Dijk, Caoimhin Kelleher and Ryan Gravenberch are all expected to play from the start of this game.
4-3-3 Liverpool Predicted Lineup To Face Brighton
Defence
Caoimhin Kelleher will function in goal for the Reds after he was rested in midweek. Virgil Van Dijk will once again play alongside Ibrahima Konate at the centre of Slot’s backline as they look to maintain a solid shape on the defensive end of the field
Trent Alexander-Arnold will feature as the right-back while Andy Robertson looks to prove his worth on the other flank as the left-back. Both of them will get the license to get forward and express themselves in the Brighton half.
Joe Gomez will provide cover for the defensive positions on the bench.
Midfield
Alexis Mac Allister, Ryan Gravenberch and Dominik Szoboszlai will operate as Liverpool’s central midfielders as they focus on dominating the game at the centre of the park. All three of them need to find a way to find some holes in the Brighton defence if the Reds are to secure a convincing win this weekend.
Wataru Endo and Curtis Jones will have to be content with a spot on Slot’s bench as they wait for their chance to shine in the second half if required.
Attack
Luis Diaz will get another chance to make a difference on the left wing while Mohamed Salah looks to be a threat from the right flank. Darwin Nunez will spearhead Liverpool’s attack down the middle. He has to find a way to be a constant menace in the final third.
Cody Gakpo scored a brace against Brighton in midweek and is expected to be named on the bench. He might come on to make an impact in the latter stages of the contest if needed.
