Another draw for Manchester United in the Europa League as they were held for a 1-1 scoreline against Fenerbahce. Erik ten Hag’s side must be unhappy with the result and will be extra motivated to do well in the next game.
The Red Devils lock horns with West Ham United on Sunday in an away fixture in the Premier League. They are 12th on the points table and cannot afford to drop any further points if they wish to secure a European competition berth.
4-2-3-1 Manchester United Predicted Lineup Vs West Ham United
Defence
Andre Onana made some tremendous saves on Thursday night to keep the scoreline tight. He will don the gloves between the sticks once again. Left-back Diogo Dalot didn’t have an impactful display and must step up his game immediately.
Lisandro Martinez should return to his original centre-back position after being used as a left-back in the previous game. He will accompany Matthijs de Ligt and send Victor Lindelof back on the bench. Noussair Mazraoui is also expected to go back to his right-back role.
Midfield
Manuel Ugarte and Christian Eriksen were excellent in the middle of the park and they should be retained in the lineup. Erik ten Hag’s side will also be boosted with the return of Bruno Fernandes, who missed the European game due to suspension.
Attack
Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho will operate on the wings as usual. Both will keep on changing their flanks as per the demands of the game. At the striker position, the Dutch boss might prefer starting Rasmus Hojlund ahead of Joshua Zirkzee. The latter seemed a bit shaky and hasn’t adapted well yet.
Antony, Harry Maguire, Leny Yoro, Luke Shaw and Kobbie Mainoo will miss the tie while the likes of Jonny Evans and Mason Mount will be assessed before the game.
