Aston Villa will entertain Bournemouth at Villa Park this Saturday afternoon as they look to secure all three points at home in the Premier League. The Villans managed to earn an impressive 2-0 win over Bologna in the UEFA Champions League recently which should give them a ton of confidence ahead of this game.
Unai Emery will set his players up in a 4-4-1-1 formation and is expected to make some changes to his first XI for this clash. Ollie Watkins, Matty Cash and Lucas Digne could all play from the start of this game.
4-4-1-1 Aston Villa Predicted Lineup To Face Bournemouth
Defence
Emiliano Martinez will feature in goal for the West Midlands club after keeping a clean sheet in his last outing. Ezri Konsa will function alongside Pau Torres at the heart of the Aston Villa backline as they try to keep things solid at the back during the game.
Matty Cash will try to impress as the right-back while Lucas Digne looks to prove his worth on the other flank as the left-back. Both of them will get the freedom to get forward and express themselves in the Bournemouth half.
Diego Carlos and Ian Maatsen will offer cover for the defensive positions on the bench.
Midfield
Youri Tielemans and Amadou Onana will anchor the midfield for the Villans as they focus on winning the 50-50 battles at the centre of the park. Leon Bailey will hope to put his pace to good use on the right flank while John McGinn looks to put in a hard-working performance as the left-sided wide player.
Morgan Rogers would get a chance to play in the number ten position. He has to carry most of the creative workload for the home team in the final third.
Ross Barkley and Emi Buendia have to settle for a spot on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the second half if required.
Attack
Ollie Watkins will lead the line for the Villans up top. He would be eager to make a difference after being rested in midweek.
Jhon Duran will be available for selection on the bench as he waits for his chance to shine in the latter stages of the game if needed.
