Liverpool faced off against Red Bull Leipzig at the Red Bull Arena earlier tonight as they hoped to secure a good result on the road in the UEFA Champions League. The Reds made a good start to the game and scored the opening goal in the 27th minute when Darwin Nunez scored from point-blank range. Arne Slot’s men went into the half-time break 1-0 up on the scoreline.

LB: Kostas Tsimikas – 7/10

He was a positive influence at both ends of the field.

CM: Ryan Gravenberch – 7.5/10

Gravenberch anchored the midfield with conviction and distributed the ball accurately from midfield.

CM: Alexis Mac Allister – 7/10

He made a few decent chances for others around him and was unfortunate to hit the crossbar in the second half.

RW: Mohamed Salah – 6.5/10

Salah caught the eye at times in the final third and has got an assist to show for his efforts.

He linked up play well with his teammates in the opponent’s half but there was no goal for him.

Gakpo was a constant menace on the left flank but failed to register a goal.

He was not shy of having a strike at goal and managed to score the only goal of the game in the 27th minute.
