In a recent report, Fichajes stated that Aston Villa are keen on recruiting Juventus striker Kenan Yildiz. It has been claimed that the Villans are eyeing a move to acquire the services of the Turkish forward next year.
Yildiz’s Impressive Run Of Form In Italian Football
The 19-year-old is having a decent campaign in Serie A as he has put in a few eye-catching displays for Juventus in the final third. Yildiz has banged in one goal and grabbed a couple of assists in ten matches for the Turin outfit this season across various competitions.
The talented teenager has been a good contributor in front of the opponent’s goal based on his average of 1.3 shots, 1.1 key passes and 1.5 dribbles per 90 minutes in Serie A. He has even been accurate with his ball distribution after making 87.9% of his attempted passes in the Italian top tier (stats via whoscored).
His current contract at the Turin club will expire in the summer of 2029 which could make it difficult for the Villans to sign him on a cut-price deal next year.
Should Aston Villa Boss Unai Emery Move In For Yildiz?
Yildiz can find some space for himself to get some strikes in at goal. He has got the vision to engineer a few promising chances for others around him in the opponent’s half and can make some driving runs with the ball in the final third.
The Turkish sensation mainly operates as a striker but can also play in the number ten position or as a left-sided wide player if told to do so. However, he is still quite raw and would need time to adapt to the physical side and high intensity of the Premier League if the Villans manage to recruit him next year.
We can expect Yildiz to add more firepower to Aston Villa boss Unai Emery’s attack in the long run. He is already good enough to challenge for regular first-team football at Villa Park.
At 19, Yildiz seems destined to have a bright future at the highest level. Thus, the West Midlands club would be wise to move in for him when the transfer window reopens in January or at the end of this season.
